Rethinking Apparel Production

It’s no secret that the fashion industry has a sustainability problem. Fast fashion churns out massive amounts of clothing, much of which goes unsold: around 21% of all textiles never even make it to a customer. The result? A staggering amount of waste, with discarded stock often ending up in landfills or incinerators.

We do things differently. By working with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items when you order them, which means no excess stock, no needless waste, just the right amount of left-handed awesomeness. Plus, our printing partner’s advanced technology generates minimal wastewater and consumes less energy than conventional industry printers.

Every item in our shop is made to order. When you place an order, we start crafting your product specifically for you—no warehouses full of unused inventory, no wasteful overproduction. Yes, this means your order takes a little longer to arrive, but it also means a more sustainable future.

Sustainable Printing & Materials

Our apparel is printed using direct-to-garment (DTG) technology, a process that’s similar to printing on paper but optimized for fabric. We use Kornit printers, which:

✔ Generate almost zero wastewater

✔ Use significantly less energy than standard industry printers

✔ Lower our carbon footprint without sacrificing quality

Our t-shirts are designed to last. Yet, once their time has come, they naturally decompose, thanks to their 100% cotton construction. Also, compared to conventional dyeing, our process:

✔ Uses 3x less water than conventional methods

✔ Reduces processing time by 40%, meaning less energy consumption

✔ Requires zero salt, making it more eco-friendly

Even our inks are designed with sustainability in mind. We use Oeko-Tex™ certified, vegan, water-based inks that are free from harmful chemicals. Any leftover ink is disposed of responsibly according to supplier guidelines.

 

Eco-Friendly Packaging

For us, sustainability extends to packaging, too. Every apparel order is shipped in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers, made from items like used plastic bags and bottles. Depending on where your order is fulfilled, the PCR content is at least 70%, reducing the demand for new plastic production.
